Stop At: Bordeira Beach, Carrapateira Portugal
Also called Carrapateira beach, this is one of the best-preserved beaches of Portuguese coastline. From this beach, you will enjoy a view over the whole coastline full of depressions. A river flows into this beach.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Pontal da Carrapateira, Carrapateira Portugal
A pretty headland on the Vicentine Coast with sombre escarpments and gorgeous coastal scenery. Here, the Jurassic limestone cliffs have been carved into layered shapes of white, ochre, and gray containing numerous inlets, offshore stacks, and jagged islands.

Stop At: Amado Beach, Carrapateira 8670-230 Portugal
Very used by practitioners of radical sports, it has staged various national and international surf and body board competitions. It has an isolated shore and is used by nudists.

This one (including the black bottom rocks of Castelejo) is a big beach surrounded by several impressive cliffs.
Is part of the Costa Vicentina natural park and the landscape around the beach is absolutely stunning.
Next to Cordoama, we will also visit Castelejo beach.

Stop At: Cape Saint Vincent, Cape Saint Vincent, Faro District, Algarve
Being the most south-westerly point in mainland Europe, this rugged and forbidding Cape has long been considered sacred ground – ancient Greeks called it the ‘Land of Serpents’, but the pugnacious Romans oddly preferred a meeker designation: Promontorium Sacrum (‘Holy Promontory’), the Latin origin of the name ‘Sagres’ (from Sacrum). For them, terra firma-loving citizens of Rome, Cape St. Vincent was the ‘Edge of the World’, a supernatural vortex where the setting sun was dramatically submerged by the immense, unknown ocean (still today, the fading solar disk occasionally seems bigger and brighter at Cape St. Vincent). The myth persisted throughout the Middle Ages until a man decided to end all that crazy nonsense and – in the process – put an end to the Age of Darkness: Prince Henry the Navigator
