Before arriving at the capital of the Douro Valley we will stop in Miradouro do Imaginário to appreciate the landscape and give some time to take pictures.
Stop to photos next the Douro river
Cross the bridge walking to appreciate the landscape and photos
We will have a brief stop on this dam to appreciate the landscape and the river. If we are lucky we see the locks of the dam working!
We will follow our way to the Wine Estate for a tasting.
The road between Peso da Régua and Pinhão is considered to be one of the most beautiful roads in the world because of the stunning views on the river and the vineyards.
In the wine Estate ´Quinta do Tedo´ you will get a guided tour around and taste some beautiful Port wines.
In Pinhão we will stop at the picturesque riverside. You will have some free time to walk around and have lunch (not included).
After lunch you will embark on a boat for a boat trip on the Douro river. From the boat you will have a breathtaking view on the valley.
We will drive up to the mountain to the best viewpoint of the region to appreciate the river and the valley from the top. This is also a very good place to make some great pictures.
We will get guided tour around and finish with a tasting of some lovely wines, local olive oil and honey.
At the end of a beautiful day you will visit the train station with its typical Blue-tiles called ´Azulejos`.
