Going further along the north coast we got to Chão da Ribeira another beautiful spot where we can appreciate more of the valley within the Laurissilva.
Advancing toward the north end of the region, we have the viewpoint of Ribeira da Janela, to view the contrast of the mountain with the sea.
Finally, we visit Achadas da Cruz, a place that makes the transition between the north coast and the south of the island. If you want you can get in the cable car and visit one of the most beautiful fajãs and quiet places of the Island (cable car fee applies).

The chapel of Pico da Cova in São Vicente is dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima, having been built by the population in about 1948, to celebrate the end of World War II. Its location gives it a unique character as it can be observed from almost the entire parish as from there you can also have a spectacular panorama.
