Coimbra Trip Overview

After pick up at your hotel in Coimbra, we will make a trip to the Sicó mountain, to Buracas of Casmilo. Natural caves steep in the mountains, as if they were natural monuments, they offer an incredible view of the valleys and mountains of the region. Prepare your camera! After visiting, we circulate through the mountains and rural villages, enjoying the fauna and flora, where the numerous olive trees, walnut trees, oaks, small gardens, sheep and goats stand out. Arriving at the cheese capital, the village of Rabaçal, we taste the delicious cheese accompanied by the dark bread, also typical of the region.

Then, we will go to the most emblematic place of this excursion: the Roman ruins of Conímbriga. We will go up the stands of his amphitheater, visit the thermal baths and even visit houses with more than 2,000 years of history.
After the visits, we return to the hotel in Coimbra, using some of the pilgrimage trails of the Central Portuguese Way of the Caminhos of Santiago
