Coimbra Trip Overview
After pick up at your hotel in Coimbra, we will go to Serra da Lousã. We will visit the Schist Villages, a group of small shepherds’ villages scattered around the mountains. We will start with Cerdeira, with its chapel, a wooden bridge next to the fountain and its houses perfectly integrated into the landscape, thanks to the schist stone that was used in its construction. We will pass through the village of Candal to go through its narrow streets and in Talasnal we enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the Serra de Lousã. In all the villages we travel between shale houses, oaks, cork trees, narrow alleys, streets and small trails.
We will return to the hotel in Coimbra after a visit that looked more like a trip to our rural ancestor.
