Stop At: Shrine of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, N 270 São Sebastião, Loule Portugal

The largest Marian sanctuary in the Algarve, was built in 1553, it is one of the most important Marian shrines in Portugal and in which its annual celebration is recognized as “the greatest religious manifestation south of Fátima”.

Stop At: Castelo De Loule, Rua Goncalo de Loule, Loule 8100-626 Portugal

The castle of Arab origin, rebuilt in the XIII century, had a large walled perimeter, part of which is still visible.

Stop At: Museu Municipal Loule, Rua Dom Paio Peres Correia 19, Loule 8100-564 Portugal

The Museum presents a long-term exhibition that tells the history of the territory of Loule from prehistory to the modern period, having selected the most significant objects, collected in different areas of the county as a result of research projects, prospecting and occasional findings.

Stop At: Nossa Senhora da Conceicao Hermitage, Rua Dom Paio Peres Correia, Loule 8100-564 Portugal

Despite the architectural simplicity, the interior of the hermitage contains several artistic treasures, such as the baroque altarpiece in gilded woodwork with some high quality images, in particular that of Nossa Senhora da Conceição.

Equally interesting is the set of figurative tiles depicting the life of the Virgin and that decorate the walls of the hermitage. Coming from Lisbon in the mid-17th century, they already revealed elements of the rocaille aesthetic.

Inaugurated in June 1908, the Municipal Market of Loulé is one of the best examples of revivalist architecture in the Algarve.

It had its origins in an 18th century farm. Considered one of the main monuments in the Algarve, it stands out due to its architectural and decorative richness, combining elements from the Baroque, Rococo, Neoclassical and Romantic styles.
