Stop At: Piscinas Naturales en Capelas, Capelas, Sao Miguel Portugal
Located in the municipality of Ponta Delgada and near São Vicente Ferreira, a bathing area of the wells is very crowded. A coastal route crosses a coast and facilitates access to this natural pool equipped with good support equipment.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Viewpoint of Black Stones, Fenais da Luz, Sao Miguel 9545 Portugal
The place got its name because of the dark lavas on which the viewpoint rests. It is located by the sea, at one end of the cove you can see a rock shape that resembles an elephant.
This high offers a view that extends to Ponta da Ajuda, before reaching Nordeste, a municipality on the opposite side of São Miguel, at the tip of the island.

Visit the Miradouro dos Aflitos, right in the Batalha area. This viewpoint offers a view over part of the Golf Course, as well as over the municipalities of Ponta Delgada and Ribeira Grande.

Located on the north coast of the island of S. Miguel, it borders the parishes of Fajã de Cima, Calhetas and S. Vicente Ferreira. It is located in a flat area, next to the sea.
The current parish church, dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Luz, dates from 1756, having been built on the ruins of a much older one. From 1725 to 1737 this temple was subject to various restoration works, hence its current design dates back to the 18th century. Inside, the chest of the sacristy stands out, which has beautiful tiles, where you can admire a valuable black wood chest and an antique clock.
This parish also has the Ermida de S. Pedro, built in a place overlooking the sea, dating from the 16th century and with the Church of Bom Jesus dos Aflitos, built in the 18th century.

Located on the north coast of the island of S. Miguel, it is 12 km from the seat of the municipality of Ponta Delgada. This parish is separated from the sea by high cliffs that form a jagged bay, offering, therefore, shelter conditions for navigation. The special conditions of its relief and its geographical situation, allow this village to have a mild climate.
This place was populated in the 16th century and elevated to a parish on the 11th of July 1592, thus being detached from the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo, in 1515
