Day 1: FIRST DAY, ROUTE AND PARAGENS.
Stop At: Baia de Camara de Lobos, Caminho Trincheira, Camara De Lobos, Madeira 9300-159 Portugal
The name of this parish comes from the fact that, at the time of the discovery of the island, a large number of sea lions were seen in that cove which still has the same configuration today.
Câmara de Lobos was the first place where João Gonçalves Zarco, the navigator who discovered the island, lived between 1420 and 1424.

Ribeira Brava owes its name to the river that borders it; when it rains more intensely in the mountains its waters run wild towards the sea. It is a small town on the southwest coast of the island flanked by deep valleys. It is a nice place where tourists often stop

The Seixal, located between Porto Moniz and São Vicente, is an excellent place to make a stop. From this point you can explore the rocky coastline and stroll along the pier to contemplate the great cliffs and waterfalls that fall on both sides of this small village.

São Vicente is a pleasant village in the north of the island that is in one of the most beautiful valleys of Madeira. The village of St Vincent is becoming increasingly popular among surfers because of its pebble beach with excellent conditions for the many surfers coming from all over Europe to enjoy the waves.

It is the highest cable in Europe, 580 m high, famous for its suspended glass platform.
The Cabo Girão viewpoint, situated on the highest promontory in Europe, at 580 m altitude, offers a vertiginous view of the Rancho and Cabo Girão fajãs – small cultivated land at the foot of the cliff, as well as magnificent panoramic views over the ocean and the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.

Day 2: SECOND DAY, ROUTE AND PARAGENS.
Stop At: Camacha parish church, Sitio da Igreja, Camacha, Madeira 9135-381 Portugal
The Poiso is our first stop. You can try the famous Madeira poncha and this place is the meeting point of the explorers of the island.

The Pico do Areeiro is a peak located on the island of Madeira. With 1818 meters of altitude, it is the third highest peak of the island. We can dazzle on days of clear skies the fantastic rock formations, the south coast of Madeira, the corral of Freitas and even the island of Porto Santo. From this place the famous rails start to Pico das Torres and Pico Ruivo.

the Forest Park of Ribeiro Frio can observe the flora of the Laurissilva forest, go hiking on foot and visit the Ribeiro Frio Aquarium.
Located in the municipality of Santana, the Forest Park of Ribeiro Frio presents a vast spot of the Laurissilva Forest. In this place we can observe some flora and endemic vegetation and animals characteristic of the fauna of Madeira.
In this locality there is the Ribeiro Frio Aquaculture Station, which produces trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss walbaum) for the repopulation of the water lines of the Island of Madeira.

Known for its triangular houses, Santana is a beautiful village on the north coast. These houses, built of natural stone and thatch, are used as stables and sometimes as a dwelling for many centuries.

Stop At: Miradouro do Forte do Faial, VR1, Santana, Madeira 9230-067 Portugal
Faial is a small and picturesque village on the northeast coast of the island named after a local tree that is the beech (Myrica faya). The colonizers arrived here only in 1519 and were mostly of Moorish and Galician origin. During the first phase of colonization in which the sugar cane crop reached its peak production, water mills were built in Ribeira do Faial and Ribeira Seca to grind sugar cane. You can still see the ruins of these buildings under the bridge.
Faial is also known for the bridges, being the highest of 130 meters and known as the Bridge of the Seven Mouths, but unfortunately the bridge collapsed in a severe storm in 1984.

Stop At: Engenhos do Norte, Rua do Cais no 6, Porto da Cruz, Madeira 9225-050 Portugal
The Port of Cruz is one of the parishes of the municipality of Machico. Its name came from the cross once placed in the bay that served as port.
Upon arriving you may have the perception that there is not much to do in this area. Life seems to have stopped or else to be moving at a very slow pace. But the attractions of this small parish are unique.

Ponta de São Lourenço
The Ponta de São Lourenço is the most easterly tip of Madeira and is a natural reserve with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and spectacular rock formations; is a unique landscape very different from the rest of the island.
