Lisboa Trip Overview
The Atlantic is the main influencer in the characteristics of Lisbon wines, it is this refreshing character that makes Lisbon wines fresh and mineral. It is in Torres Vedras sub-region that we find the largest area of vineyards in the region, being also the main productive region of the country. Known not only for the wines but for the “linhas de torres” that protected Lisbon from french invasions at the beginning of the 19th century.
We started the morning in the wonderful valley of serra do socorro where we will know the Atlantic influence on the wines of Lisbon, with a tasting of National Tourigas of different years accompanied by local delicacies, then we walk to lunch, knowing some of the typical varieties of the region that we will taste at lunch harmonized with white wines of the region. To close the day we will have a wine tasting harmonized with some news from the Lisbon region.
