Praça dos Restauradores honors those who fought in the War of Restoration and celebrates Portugal’s liberation from Spanish rule in 1640. Here you can also enjoy the beauty of the Portuguese sidewalk, unique in the world.

Pass By: Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon 1250-096 Portugal
Avenida da Liberdade and Praça dos Restauradores have their origins in the boulevard called Passeio Público, begun in 1764, in the image of the boulevards of Paris. Its scenic qualities, prestigious shops, hotels, theaters and historic buildings make it a tourist landmark in the city. It is considered the 35th most expensive avenue in the world.

This garden with a romantic layout, it was built in the mid-century. XIX. In this garden there’s a Cedar-do-Buçaco (Cupressus lusitanica), with more than 20 meters in diameter, which is one of the trees that is classified as being of public interest in this location, and the underground Water Reservoir of the Patriarchal.
