Once a degraded space in the city, the Intendente was rehabilitated in 2012, becoming an appealing and reinvigorated space, with a multicultural and cosmopolitan atmosphere that appeals to both locals and tourists visiting the city.

Stop At: Praca Martim Moniz, Rua de Senhora da Saude, Lisbon 1100-586 Portugal
This square, overlooking the Castle, is where the greatest number of ethnic groups in the city meet. With large Asian communities making their living here, it is normal to find, located here, many restaurants and supermarkets from this region of the globe.

Stop At: Praca da Figueira, Travessa Nova de Sao Domingos 9 3 Esq., Lisbon 1100-372 Portugal
One of the most central squares in the city, once the site of a large open-air market. Nowadays it is occupied by shops, restaurants and cafes, also serving as a stage for young skaters to show their skills.

Usually known as Rossio, this is one of the most beautiful squares in the city. Marked by the beautiful patterns of the Portuguese pavement and by the many trees and fountains that surround it, you can also see the neoclassical theater D.Maria II and a statue of D. Pedro IV with 27 meters in height.

This famous monument in a neo-Gothic style is distinguished from other monuments in the city for its architecture. Created by Mesnier du Ponsard, it connects Rua do Ouro to Largo do Carmo and leaves visitors impressed by its peculiarity.

The most elegant and charming neighbourhood in the city of Lisbon, takes us back to the atmosphere of the 18th century, when famous poets and writers such as Fernando Pessoa and Eça de Queiroz walked and made their living here. It is filled with theaters, antique bookstores and international brand stores.

It is here that the Carmo convent and church are located, places that withstood the terrible earthquake of 1755, and that remember that disastrous day. This square was also one of the stages of the Carnation Revolution, which in 1974 ended the dictatorship in Portugal.

Also known as Largo Camões, this is one of the focal points of Lisbon’s movida, where different people of different ages gather to start the night in Bairro Alto. In the center is the statue of the most important Portuguese poet: Luís Vaz de Camões.

Created in the 14th century, Bairro Alto truly changes overnight. During the day it’s a dormant neighbourhood and hung over from the night before. At night, the restaurants and bars open to the lively Lisbon crowd, which fills the narrow streets of this bohemian and iconic place.

A viewpoint on a terrace, with gardens, busts of historical figures and kiosks, where you can enjoy a beautiful view over the city of Lisbon, which includes the Castle of S. Jorge, the Tagus River and the city’s downtown.

Situated by the river, this neighbourhood is a lively gastronomic and nightlife destination. Known for its cosmopolitan character, this is where the Ribeira Market is located, where you can taste the meals of many renowned chefs.

The main market in the Portuguese capital since 1892, it was remodeled in 2014, now offering catering stalls run by renowned chefs, who delight locals and the many tourists who pass through here.

Rua Nova de Carvalho is a pedestrian street that was the target of an urban intervention in 2013, painting the pavement pink, between bars and clubs. It became one of the busiest spaces in Lisbon’s nightlife and is an open-air art gallery.

Created in 1884, this museum houses the most complete public collection in the country, where we can find pieces of painting, sculpture, and decorative arts. It has many works considered as “national treasures”.
