Pass By: Rossio Square, Praca Dom Pedro IV, Lisbon 1100-026 Portugal
Rossio square is the main town in Lisbon since the Roman Empire. You’ll be able to see Rossio station (trains to Sintra), the Statue of king Pedro the 4th, the ruins of Carmo church, Baixa (the grid section of city), Augusta st, the National Theatre and Ginginha store where you should return by the end of the tour to sip the best Cherry Liquor in town
Pass By: Shepard Fairey x Vhils, Senhora Da Gracia 39, Lisbon 1170-350 Portugal
Many see this attraction as the tour’s highlight. American street artist Sheppard Fairey (@obeygiant) and Portuguese Vhils (@vhils) joint ventured to produce a work where the whole is clearly bigger than the sum of its parts.
Stop At: Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, Largo do Monte, Lisbon 1170-253 Portugal
This is the highest point in town. From here you can have a comprehensive view of the Moorish castle, the old town and the ferries crossing the river. Mouraria is at your feet, Baixa a little further, Chiado and Bairro Alto in the confronting hill. Down the river you can see 25th April bridge (the twin sister of Golden Gate) and in the south bank the statue of Christ redeemer.

Pass By: Mosteiro De Sao Vicente De Fora, Largo Sao Vicente, Lisbon 1100-572 Portugal
It’s a fine church and monastery (16th-17th century), The church visit is free but there is a fee to visit the whole monastery. Saint Vincent is the burial place of Braganza dynasty including Catherine of Braganza who married Charles II of England. The monastery offers a vast collection of tiles and in the Church’s roof top it’s possible to see a magnificent view over the river and the old town..
Pass By: Panteao Nacional Campo de Santa Clara, Lisbon 1100-471 Portugal
Saint Engracia’s Church (17th-20th century) is the burial place of distinguished figures of Portuguese society since the middle of 20th century onward. The most known “residents” are Eusebio the football player and Amalia, the fado singer. The roof of Pantheon offers a 360 degrees view over old Lisbon.
Stop At: Miradouro das Portas do Sol, Largo das Portas do Sol Alfama, Lisbon 1100-411 Portugal
This viewpoint is the center of the old town. Down to the river there is Alfama, the original settlement of Lisbon. Within a radius of 10 minutes walking there is the Castle, the viewpoint of Santa Luzia, Alfama, Saint Vincent Monastery and the National Pantheon. Miradouro Portas do Sol is the place where the traces of Moorish occupation are more visible.

Pass By: Se de Lisboa, Largo da Se, Lisbon 1100-585 Portugal
Cathedral of Lisbon is the oldest functional building in town. It’s construction begun in 1147 when the 1st king of Portugal took the city and ended about a century later. Cathedral’s architectonic basic style is Romanesque but today is a patchwork of different styles. In the same site there was once the Roman temple and the mosque, making it the cultural and religious center of Lisbon since the Romans.
Stop At: Bordalo II’s Big Raccoon Sculpture, R. Bartolomeu Dias 1400-026 Lisboa, Belem Portugal
Bordalo II (read Bordalo 2nd) follows the motto “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”. His works are made out of recycled materials that have outlived their original purpose, as a statement of sustainability and ecological awareness. In this particular case, the Raccoon is made of parts of old cars. The Raccoon goes from blurred to clear as the tuk-tuk moves away, a kind of effect causing usually a lot of “wows” in the rear seats.
Stop At: Torre de Belem, Avenida Brasilia – Belem, Lisbon 1400-038 Portugal
Belem tower is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. With 16 cannons covering 180 degrees of Tagus, together with the twin tower of Saint Sebastian in the South bank and a barge in the Middle of the river assuring cross fire, it made Impossible for any enemy ship to cross the defensive line.
Stop At: Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, Praca do Imperio Belém, Lisbon 1400-206 Portugal
Jeronimos Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage Site) is one of the masterpieces of Manueline style (16th Century). The other UNESCO site in the area is Belem tower, just 1 mile away, by the river. Belem area is not short of points of interest, including the Carriage Museum, the Museum of Presidency, the tropical garden, Berardo Collection of Contemporary Art and, the last but not the least, the famous Custard Tarts (Pasteis de Belem).
Pass By: Chiado & Carmo, Chiado & Carmo, Lisbon, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
Chiado is the sophisticated and rich area of Lisbon of 19th century. Our Tour includes the Opera Theater and the square of Carmo with Carmo church ruins. Side by side with Chiado, there is Bairro Alto, the former working class district and now the bohemian area of Lisbon.

This viewpoint rivals with Senhora do Monte as the best of Lisbon. The view of Mouraria, Castle and Cathedral is the perfect postcard.
