Most famous red bridge in Portugal, once known has Salazar Bridge – name of the portuguese president dictator that order its construction in 1958. Climb up the Castle of Palmela – a huge fortification complex that stands atop ot the Arrabida Hill in that village. Appreciate the stuning views over the Tagus and Sado estuaries. This castle and wall provided a strategic defense line in the early Poruguese dynasties.
