Senhora do Monte Viewpoint, located in the Graça district, offers a unique panorama, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful views of Lisbon, especially because it is one of the highest points in the city. The half-moon shape gives a broader view of Lisbon, from which you can see the Graça Church, the Tagus estuary and the other bank, São Jorge Castle and the roofs of Mouraria. Further on, the lower Pombaline, the ruins of the Convento do Carmo, the Serra de Monsanto and the Penha de França. These points are marked on a tiled panel in the viewpoint, so that visitors can identify the monuments.

Praça do Comércio is the most important square in Lisbon. For decades, it has been Lisbon’s gateway to maritime commerce. The square was built where the Royal Palace was before it was destroyed by the great earthquake of 1755. The face of the Commerce Square is formed by a set of buildings installed on three sides and is open on the south side, looking to the Tagus. Historically there came the merchant boats and this was the port of Lisbon.

Sintra’s historic center is an open-air museum full of magnificent treasures. The village of Sintra, at the base of the Sintra Mountains, was for a long time a royal sanctuary. Amidst its vast vegetation are incredible castles, palaces, gardens and farms.

The Palace was built to be seen from anywhere in the Park, lush forest and gardens with over five hundred tree species from the four corners of the world.

The most Western geographical location of Europe, known as “The Snout of the Rock” or “Where the Earth ends and the Sea begins”, in the imortal words of the peot Camões in “Os Lusiadas”.

It is the greatest example of Manueline architecture, also known as the “Portuguese Gothic” and which deserves to highlight the facades, the Church. and the cloisters.

Belém Tower, officially Torre de São Vicente, is located in the parish of Belem, municipality and district of Lisbon, in Portugal. On the right bank of the Tagus River, where Belém beach once existed, it was originally surrounded by water all around its perimeter.

In a prominent position on the right bank of the Tagus River, the original monument was erected in 1940 on the occasion of the Portuguese World Exposition to honor the historical figures involved in the Portuguese Discoveries. The current concrete and stone replica is later, having been inaugurated in 1960. At 52 meters high, the monument symbolizes a caravel, led by the figure of Infante D. Henrique, followed in procession by 32 historical personalities who contributed to the Age of the Discoveries, such as King D. Afonso V (1432-81), driver of the first discoveries, Vasco da Gama (1460-1524) who discovered the Maritime Way to India, Pedro Álvares Cabral (1467-1520), discoverer of Brazil and Fernão de Magalhães, who crossed the Atlantic in 1520-21, among others.
