Belém Tower is a 16th-century fortification located in Lisbon that served as a point of embarkation and disembarkation for Portuguese explorers and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. It was built during the height of the Portuguese Renaissance, and is a prominent example of the Portuguese Manueline style, but it also incorporates hints of other architectural styles.

The Jerónimos Monastery is a former monastery of the Order of Saint Jerome near the Tagus river in the parish of Belém. The monastery is one of the most prominent examples of the Portuguese Late Gothic Manueline style of architecture in Lisbon.

The Santa Justa Lift is an elevator in Lisbon and is the fastest way to get from the Baixa neighbourhood to the Bairro Alto district.
An elaborately Gothic wrought-iron lift reaches seven stories high (45 metres) to a lookout for visitors to enjoy a stunning view over one of Lisbon’s main neighbourhoods.

The Convent of Christ is a former Catholic convent in Tomar, Portugal. Originally a 12th-century Templar stronghold, when the order was dissolved in the 14th century the Portuguese branch was turned into the Knights of the Order of Christ, that later supported Portugal’s maritime discoveries of the 15th century.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this imposing monastery is one of the most impressive and beautiful testimonies of the Cistercian architecture throughout Europe. The Abbey Foundation Charter dates from April 8, 1153 and, despite its almost 900 years, its set of medieval premises remains intact. Its church is the first and largest in primitive Gothic style, built in Portugal during the Middle Ages.

The Ceramics Museum of Sacavém was opened in July 2000 and was constructed on the grounds of a former ceramics factory. Most of the exhibits reflect the output of that factory and its documentation centre is devoted to the study of the history and production of the factory and the industrial heritage of the municipality.
