This is the most important square in Lisbon and one of the longest in Europe.
Facing the Tagus River we will see the Statue of King José I, symbolically crushing snakes in his path. He was King of Portugal from 1755 until 1777.
The building without a roof. This former convent has a lot of history about the carnation revolution. We’ll see a little of its architecture and visit the Iron Elevator connected to this hill in the Baixa Chiado neighborhood.
