Monsaraz is a charming, hilltop village with a medieval castle, beautiful surrounding countryside and amazing views over the Alqueva Dam. Enter through the walls and wander the narrow streets with little white cottages, artisan shops, guest houses and restaurants.

Enjoy views from Monsaraz over the Alqueva Dam; a huge mass of water which is actually manmade and home to much nature, wild life, biking trails and small islands.

Stop At: Sao Pedro do Corval, Sao Pedro do Corval, Evora District, Alentejo

A short drive from Monsaraz is the village of São Pedro do Corval, known as Portugals largest pottery centre.
