Stop At: Park and National Palace of Pena, Estrada da Pena, Sintra 2710-609 Portugal
The Park and the Pena Palace, located in the Serra de Sintra and the fruit of the creative genius of D. Fernando II, are the greatest exponent of 19th century Romanticism in Portugal, with architectural references of Manueline and Moorish influence. The Palace was built to be seen from anywhere in the Park, lush forest and gardens with over five hundred tree species from the four corners of the world.
Note: If access to the Pena National Palace is forbidden, the visit will be replaced by the Sintra National Palace.

Stop At: Centro Historico de Sintra, Sintra 2710-616 Portugal
Sintra’s historic center is an open-air museum full of magnificent treasures. The village of Sintra, at the base of the Sintra Mountains, was for a long time a royal sanctuary. Amidst its vast vegetation are incredible castles, palaces, gardens and farms.

Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of Portugal and Europe. Visitable, not to the extreme but to an area at an altitude of 140 m, this is one of Portugal’s best known capes and forms the western end of the Sintra Mountains, precipitating over the Atlantic Ocean.
