Begin your awesome adventure by meeting with a guide at your hotel. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal and had a leading role in multiple reforms that resulted in economic prosperity of Portugal. He also was a leader of Lisbon reconstruction effort after the city was severely damaged by the earthquake in 1755.
