Begin your awesome adventure by meeting with a guide at your hotel. Explore the vineyard and wine cellar before trying out 6 of the finest Portuguese wines made from scrumptious Jampal grapes, that were considered extinct for a long period of time. A 40-meters tall monument built in honor to Marques de Pombal, a person so significant to Portuguese history that he has streets, train stations, squares and even architectural style named after him. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal and had a leading role in multiple reforms that resulted in economic prosperity of Portugal. He also was a leader of Lisbon reconstruction effort after the city was severely damaged by the earthquake in 1755.
