Day 1: Lisbon

Stop At: Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, Praca do Imperio Belém, Lisbon 1400-206 Portugal
The Jerónimos Monastery or Monastery of Santa Maria de Belém is a Portuguese monastery of the Order of St. Jerome built in the 16th century. It is located in the parish of Belém, in the city and municipality of Lisbon. It has, since 2016, the status of National Pantheon.

The Torre de Belém, officially Torre de São Vicente, is located in the parish of Belém, municipality and district of Lisbon, in Portugal. On the right bank of the river Tagus, where Belém beach once existed, it was originally surrounded by water around its perimeter.

Pass By: Alfama, Lisbon Portugal
Alfama is the oldest and one of the most typical neighborhoods of the city of Lisbon. Currently, it comprises a part of the parish of Santa Maria Maior and another part of the parish of São Vicente. Its name derives from Arabic al-Hamma (الحمة), which means baths or fountains.

The most spectacular views over Alfama include the public walkway formed by the viewpoints of the Portas do Sol, the Tower of the Church of Santa Cruz do Castelo (the tallest tower in ancient Lisbon) and Santa Luzia. Above and surrounding Alfama are the hill of Castelo de São Jorge, fortress and royal palace until the 16th century, and the hill of São Vicente. In addition to the Castle, the main monuments of the area are the Cathedral, the Church of St. Stephen and the Church of St. Vincent de Fora.

Pass By: Bairro Alto, Lisbon 1200-109 Portugal
The Bairro Alto is an old and picturesque neighborhood in the center of Lisbon, with narrow, cobbled streets, secular houses, small traditional shops, restaurants and nightlife venues. Built in orthogonal plan from the beginning of the 16th century, it was known as Vila Nova de Andrade.

Its planning and construction are linked to the tsunami of the Lisbon earthquake of 1531, according to Joaquim José Moreira de Mendonça.

Pass By: Chiado, Lisbon Portugal
Chiado is one of the most emblematic and traditional districts of the city of Lisbon. It is located between Bairro Alto and Baixa Pombalina.

In 1856, with the creation of the literary circle, a club of the intellectuals of the time, the Chiado became the center of Portuguese Romanticism, a necessary point of passage for those who wanted to be known in the city. The writer Eça de Queiroz in his work “The Mayas” made great reference to the Chiado and to the Literary Grémio.

Day 2: Porto

Ribeira is one of the oldest and typical places of the city of Porto, Portugal.

Located in the parish of São Nicolau, next to the Douro River, it is part of the Historic Center of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is, at the moment, an area very frequented by tourists and place of concentration of bars and restaurants.

In Ribeira, the Ribeira Square, popularly known as the square of the cube, is worth mentioning; Rua da Fonte Taurina, one of the oldest in the city; the Wall of the Bacalhoeiros and the House of the Infante, where it is believed that the Infante D. Henrique was born in 1394.
