After a 45-minute drive from Lisbon, we’ll arrive in the enchanting town of Sintra, making our first stop at the stunning Pena Palace, perched high on the mountain.
Our adventure begins with a guided, gentle hike through the magical Pena Park, a lush, living masterpiece that offers a peaceful escape from the crowds at the main entrance. From here, we’ll lead you along the vibrant terraces of Pena Palace, where you’ll learn about its history and architecture. You’ll also have free time to visit the ornate rooms inside.
Around lunchtime, stop in Sintra Old Historical Town. You may choose between eating a quick snack and visiting the National Sintra Palace (a true gem), or having a sit-down lunch and exploring the historical streets.
After lunch, we’ll discover the rugged Atlantic coastline, driving by Colares, Praia das Maçãs and visiting local gems like Azenhas do Mar
Drive by Sintra Natural Park and stop at Cabo da Roca, the tip of Continental Europe.
The “cherry on top” is the drive along Guincho and “Lisbon Riviera”, stopping at Cascais Fortress where you’ll have a panoramic view over the famous Cascais Bay.

- IMPORTANT: If you make a last-minute booking after 5 p.m. the day before, we can only get you tickets for Pena Park and the palace terraces (not for the rooms inside) that cost 10 euros.
- The lunch options vary from a quick on the go meal (5€), to a menu restaurant (25€).
- Sintra has a micro clima, and it is usually colder than Lisbon. Please bring appropriate clothing.
- Bring comfortable shoes. We will walk 25 minutes up and down hill.
