We begin the tour by heading north to Tomar through the Ribatejo farmland. In Tomar, we visit the Convent of Christ, originally built by the Knights Templar, and explore its Templar castle, the Romanesque round, the Manueline church, the Renaissance convent and the monastic precincts (ticket included). Let us learn how the Knights Templar originated the Order of Christ and how this new order became fundamental in the Age of Portuguese Discoveries.
