Itinerary

Pass By: Estatua do Marques de Pombal, Estacao de Metro do Marques de Pombal Praca Marques de Pombal, Lisbon 1250-161 Portugal
We begin with picking you up from your hotel/address in Lisbon just before 09:00 and head for Azeitão/Setúbal. Here we begin with a visit to one of Portugal’s most prestigious wine cellars. Depending on availability from our partners, our destination may be one of two: (1) Casa Museu José Maria da Fonseca; or (2) Adega Museu Bacalhôa.
Stop At: Baia de Setubal, Setubal 2900-634 Portugal
This visit starts with a brief explanation on each company’s history. After passing through the gardens, we’ll visit the wine cellars, learn about the wine production process and the specific wines that age there. The visit will end with an elaborate wine tasting session with the best wines from the Region.

Stop At: Portal Historico de Setubal, Travessa Porta do Sol, Setubal 2900-566 Portugal
After the main visit we head on to one of two traditional Portuguese restaurants. One of them sits at the heart of Setúbal (near the port) and the other one is on the beach with a sea view. We will inquire which one you prefer although they are both reputed for their seafood and fish dishes.

After lunch we move the the Museum of Cheese where you will learn about the unique cheese that is the Azeitão Cheese. It has a unique process that can only be achieved in this region. Besides learning of its process and history you will also get to taste its uniqueness.

Stop At: Serra da Arrabida, Setubal Portugal
Our day trip ends with a brief passage through the green mountains of Serra da Arrábida and visit to the lighthouse of Cabo Espichel in Sesimbra. This lighthouse has an incredible view as it sits on a ravine. After enjoying the landscapes and taking in the relaxing sea breeze, we head on back to Lisbon.
