MADEIRA: Jeep Safari to Lava Pools and Seixal Full-Day West

Our 4×4 adventure begins in Câmara de Lobos, a charming fishing village nestled between cliffs and the Atlantic Ocean, which inspired Winston Churchill. We follow winding roads to Ribeira Brava, where the 16th-century Church of São Bento stands out, offering stunning views of the ocean. Next, we reach Ponta do Sol, the sunniest spot on the island, surrounded by dramatic cliffs. We ascend to Paul da Serra, Madeira’s only plateau, often shrouded in fog, which contrasts with the lush coastal areas. Descending, we reach Porto Moniz, famous for its natural lava pools. Along the coast, Ribeira da Janela enchants with its basalt columns. In Seixal, we admire the black sand beach and natural pools with crystal-clear waters. We finish at Cabo Girão Skywalk, with breathtaking views, before toasting Madeira’s rich winemaking tradition at Henriques & Henriques winery, ending an unforgettable day.

After Pick up we will have the first stop at Miradouro do Pico da Torre where you can enjoy the wonderful bay of Câmara de lobos, followed by an off road.

After the first stop we continued our journey to Ribeira Brava

Ribeira Brava is known for its extensive valley, discovered in the 15th century, with excellent weather for bananas and sugar cane.

After leaving Ribeira Brava, we will pass through Ponta de Sol to admire the village that was an important landmark for exports at the end of the 19th century. After that, we will stop for coffee, toilet and anything else that customers may need.

Paul da Serra is the only plateau on the island. Located at approximately 1500 meters above sea level, it is home to valuable fauna and flora and offers an unobstructed view, making it one of the unmissable points of interest on our island.

We stop at Porto Moniz for lunch, where you can stroll and enjoy one of the most beautiful places on our island.

We will have a wonderful stop in Ribeira da Janela with a path towards a small cave where you will have a splendid panoramic view of the blue Atlantic.

Stop to admire the wonderful natural black sand beach.

At 580 meters high, Cabo Girão is the highest promontory in Europe, but that’s not the only reason it has become increasingly famous all over the world. Its viewpoint, with the famous suspended glass platform — called skywalk — is currently one of the most visited (and certainly most photographed) tourist attractions in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos and the Madeira archipelago.

At the end of the day, we return to Câmara de Lobos to the Madeira wine factory, where we will have a tasting of the 4 delicious Madeira wines, where the local employees will explain everything.
