Make the most of your Madeira adventure
What makes Stargazing and Astronomy in Madeira a unique experience ?
This is where we all meet to begin the tour. Here, our guide will explain the day’s itinerary and give some basic logistical information.
Here we’ll also board the transportation service to go to the stargazing location which will take around 1 hour.
Right next to this meeting spot, you can see the Cristiano Ronaldo Statue.
Our transportation service will drop us at the Madeira Observatory parking lot. Few meters from here is our stargazing location.
Our guide will start with an introduction on the place, the equipment and safety. After we will start the guided observation of the night sky, pointing at constellations, star navigation, nebulas and other cosmic objects.
Travelers also have the opportunity to use astronomical binoculars and equipment for a better experience.
Finally travelers have the chance to practice astrophotography.
We’ll meet again at the Observatory Parking Lot to return to Funchal to our original meeting point.
Transportation will take around 40 minutes
