Located along the river where ships departed to explore and trade with India and the Orient, the monument celebrates the Portuguese Age of Discovery (or Age of Exploration) during the 15th and 16th centuries.

Stop At: Torre de Belem, Avenida Brasilia – Belem, Lisbon 1400-038 Portugal
It’s a 16th-century fortification located in Lisbon that served as a point of embarkation and disembarkation for Portuguese explorers and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. Since 1983, the tower has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the Jerónimos Monastery.

Day 3: Óbidos, Fátima, Batalha & Nazaré

Conquered to the moors in 1148, Óbidos medieval castle is considered one of the most picturesque places in Portugal. In here, we will have the chance to visit the city, where you will find several colorful houses and beautiful yards.

The century-old Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima is the main focus of the town and attracts millions of pilgrims every year. Fátima is a place of religion, but also of faith, and its energy does not leave anyone indifferent, regardless of their beliefs. Here, you will have the chance of visiting the exact place where the Virgin Mary appeared to the three little shepherds. After visiting the main chapel, we will continue our tour through the two basilicas, and the main square.

In Nazaré, we will visit the highest point of the city, with a beautiful panoramic view of the beach. After we will visit the Fort of Saint Michael the Archangel, today used as a museum for the big waves.
