Itinerary
Day 1: Whale and Dolphin Watching + Van Tour Lagoa do Fogo
Stop At: Ponta Delgada, Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores
Lying in the Atlantic Ocean, about a third of the way between Portugal and North America, the Azores islands are a permanent home or point of passage for more than a third of the world’s whale and dolphin species. Sperm whales, common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins and Risso’s dolphins are present around the Azores archipelago throughout the year. Other species visit or pass by during specific seasons making our sightings varying a lot along the year and often from day to day!

Stop At: Lagoa do Fogo, Miradouro da Serra Barrosa Agua de Pau, Sao Miguel Portugal
Located in the centre of the island are the fascinating landscapes of Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake), doubtlessly one of the grandest nature attractions of this island, which already is not really poor of beautiful nature sights. This huge blue lake – it is about 2 km long and 1 km wide – fills the ground of an extinct crater, whose caldera was formed during an eruption in 1563. Surrounded by high mountains and luxuriant endemic vegetation, this mystical lake, where an ambiance of divine tranquillity and beauty is reigning, has transparent waters, a peninsula and white sand beaches and is declared nature reserve.

Day 2: Sete Cidades Active Jeep & Lakes
Stop At: Sete Cidades, Sete Cidades, Sao Miguel, Azores
This is an active tour that combines dirt paths with kayak and bicycle activities at Lagoa das Sete Cidades. Enjoy this wonderful landscape from a different perspective in a jeep. We will take you to the top of Sete Cidades caldera stopping at some points of interest such as Pico do Carvão, Pico da Cruz and Lomba do Vasco viewpoint. A small stop will be made in the center of
Sete Cidades village, followed by a passage next to the Peninsula and then we will stop at the famous viewpoint of Vista do Rei.
The other part of the day is to enjoy Sete Cidades by bike and kayak! This is an excellent way to explore nature for those who enjoy active holidays. Our guide will give interesting information about Sete Cidades and also explain how to go kayaking. We also have bikes for children, but we advise you to inform us about the size and weight of the child in order to provide the necessary equipment.
