Stop At: Lagoa do Fogo, Miradouro da Serra Barrosa Agua de Pau, Sao Miguel Portugal
Going up the mountain, a mandatory stop at 745m on Fire Lake belvedere, the second largest lake in S Miguel located 575m above sea level, followed by a second stop nearly 200m up, at Pico da Barrosa to admire from a different angle the Fire Lake as well as a fantastic view from the both coasts of S Miguel Island.

The “Vieira” ceramic factory (closed on weekends) opened in 1862 and producing already for 5 generations, the traditional handmade blue and white ceramic of the Azores.

Stop At: Ribeira Grande, Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel, Azores
Ribeira Grande, the second largest city from S Miguel Island.
Here we profit from an Ocean view at Palheiro belvedere and visit the liquor factory Mulher do Capote, with tasting of the internationally well known Passionfruit Liquor.
This Family owned Company produces many fruit liquors, brandies and cream liquors since 1936, and it’s the largest producer in the Azores.
