This Walking Tour, begins in the Main Square of the historical center of Ponta Delgada, after we will walk to the S. Francisco Square, we will visit some historic places, like the Main church of the Town, a high point in the Tower City, to visit the Synagogue and the Sanctuary of the S. Cristo, walk along the main streets of the city and local commerce to the one of the botanic garden in Ponta Delgada, Antonio Borges Garden
We will walk through the narrow, cobbled streets and several mansions around the city that demonstrate the economic power of other times, thanks to the fertility of soils and commercial furor in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Visit the Carlos Machado Museum, housed in the former monastery of Saint Andrew and depicting the natural history, fishing and agriculture of the entire island of São Miguel.
We will walk too to the Church of the Mother of God, with a splendid and panoramic view to the historical center and for the Marine and commercial port.
