Itinerary
Because of its privileged location Cabeceiras de Basto offers you an authentic experience of the well known Minho identity. The green hills and fields together with a fantastic gastonomy and cultural heritage makes Cabeceiras de Basto an area to visit and revisit. Located near Gerês and touched by Cabreira mountains Cabeceiras conserves its own identity and still offers you the true feeling of travelling back in time.
During our visit to the region we will firstly visit the town centre which includes the ” Time House” and the most important symbols, the S.Miguel Monestry and the statue of Basto.
Followed we will head to a local agent who will guide us around the most beautiful natural scenarios in the region. You will not be walking or be driven, but you will drive (1 vehicle per 2 people) a 4×4 buggy guided and escorted at all times by your local agent.
After, a picnic will take place in an idyllic park where you will try local products ( Vinho verde, local honey, tapas, etc).
On our way back to Porto, we will stop in a local museum and have the opportunity to witness the craftsmanship of wool materials, using ancient techniques and devices.
