Stop At: Monastery of Saint Andrew of Ancede, Lugar do Mosteiro União das Freguesias de Ancede e Ribadouro, Baiao Portugal

The Ancede Monastery still has some vestiges of the primitive Romanesque Church (12th century). On the walls of the side naves, the paintings from the 16th to the 18th centuries, the pulpit and the choir stand out, and in the sacristy, the furniture and the set of 18th century reliquaries. In the churchyard, the Chapel of Senhor do Bom Despacho highlights one of the most notables of the Monastery: the 18th century. This baroque chapel, of octangular plan, has a fascinating narrative of the life of Christ.
