What makes Douro Call – A private Food and Wine Experience to the Douro Valley a unique experience ?
The Douro Call is a private and exclusive experience idealized for couples or families.
Includes a non-touristic tour through the outstanding landscapes of the Douro region, plenty of wine and local food!
Our day will start at Régua, where we will visit a hidden and family-run winery. Here, at an amazing tour we will learn more about the grapes and the production, visit the wine warehouse and end with an amazing and private tasting of 7 types of wines – table and ports.
During the visit we will have the chance to meet some of the owners, the Moreira Family who live in the property and participate at the activities.After lunch (at a local restaurant in Régua used mainly by locals, average price 15€-20€ per person) we will explore the other side of the valley, close to Pinhão.
Here, at a smaller family-run winery we will do a second tasting of wines and local products such as honey and olive oil. While jaloto, the winery dog play around us, we will enjoy the breathtaking view which is considered one of the best 6 views in the world by BBC Travel.
On our way to Oporto, we will stop at Amarante, a bucolic and cozy city.
At a very typical “tasca” owned by António, prepare yourself for an amazing degustation of local products such as bread, cheese, ham, chorizo, olives and “vinho verde”, produced locally by the owner at his vinery.
