Porto Trip Overview

The pickup is made in Porto, the walk starts in the village of Provesende and will last approximately 3 hours with an easy difficulty level. At the end we will have a boat trip with brunch served on board.

Itinerary

The pickup for this activity will be done in the city of Porto where we will make a 90 minute mini van trip to the village of Provesende. The activity ends in the village of Pinhão and return to Porto is not included, so if you want to return to Porto you can choose to return by train.

The walk starts with our local guide in the village where we will feel the rural life and have contact with the local people in the region and all the life stories told by our guide.

The route follows the small and narrow cobbled streets of the village, accompanied by the beautiful old manor buildings that recall the noble past of this place.

Then we will follow through the vineyard trails, where we can see the hard manual work of the people who take care of them and their family support.

On the way down, we will pass through the village of São Cristóvão where at least 50 people still live and continue to live the same way as their ancestors.

Arriving at the village of Pinhão and on the banks of the Douro River, we will take a private boat for a 1 hour tour contemplating the beautiful landscapes of the Douro Valley where we will serve a brunch filled with homemade products from the region.
