Stop At: Torre dos Clerigos, Rua Sao Filipe Neri, Porto 4050-546 Portugal

We will start the tour in the old Campo do Olival. In the 14th century it was the neighborhood that became the largest Jewish quarter in the city of Porto, where many Jewish families expelled from Spain at the time of the inquisition took refuge.

This place was one of the strategic points used by King D. Pedro IV to defend himself against his brother, in the “Siege of Porto” in 1832, a civil war that ended the monarchy in Portugal.

Located in the Jewish quarter of S.XIII, called Monchique.
