Stop At: Church of Sao Pedro de Miragaia, Largo Sao Pedro de Miragaia Miragaia, Porto 4050-564 Portugal
The current church, rebuilt in the eighteenth century, emerged in the place where there was previously another temple of medieval origin. Miragaia, along the Douro River, was one of the first inhabited zones in the city. Born in the heart of a devout fishing community, this church was dedicated to São Pedro, patron saint of fishermen.

Being the residence of successive renowned Portuguese families, the Bandeirinha Palace, built in 1575, saw its name altered by the people, due to the to huge stone mermaids that stand at the entrance.

The inhabitants are few. Without tourists, the street would be deserted. Integrated in the route of the romantic, Rua de Entre Quintas is at the rear of the Crystal Palace, which lends it all that green. All that bucolic atmosphere that lingers in the old Quinta da Macieirinha, besieged on that street. The country house dating back to the late 18th century was acquired by the municipality and converted into the Romantic Museum of Porto.

Inside, the atmosphere of a house from the eight hundred upper middle class bourgeoisie was recreated and the memory of Carlos Alberto de Sabóia, king of Sardinia, was preserved. Romantic figure that Invicta received with the heart and that died in this house.

The Crystal Palace Gardens is a delightful park in Porto, designed at the end of the 19th century. Can be found in the high part of Porto, and are a lovely green space, offering privileged views of the city, the mouth of the River Duero and the Atlantic Ocean.

The arts block in the Porto city centre owes its name to the dynamics printed by the owners of art galleries, firstly on Rua Miguel Bombarda and later on the adjacent arteries.

Small garden, from the XIX century, whose conception reflects an architectonics harmony. The trees surround the Monumento aos Mortos da Grande Guerra (monument to the First World War heroes).

Stop At: Jardim de João Chagas, Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, 4050-366 Porto, Portugal
Known in the Middle Ages as the Campo do Olival (olive grove), its name is due to the bishop’s ropery, who was installed there in the XV century. In 1611, the former Campo was converted into an Alameda (lane) and, in 1865, by the hand of the German Emile David, the garden was born. In the following century, and after the cyclone’s devastation in 1941, it was replanted. With rare plants around a lake, several statues, benches and bandstand, this garden was characterized by a traditional XIX century city garden atmosphere. It was considered a Botanic garden, for the variety of plants here existent.

The Passeio das Virtudes is leaning over the Calçada das Virtudes, which ends at the Virtudes Fountain. Being a balcony over Miragaia, it offers a beautiful view of the landscape spreading out from the river till its mouth.
