Start this tour driving up to the Fire Volcano where the Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lagoon)
is nestled. Excellent photo opportunities of both south and north sides of the island arise
at the top of the most recent volcanic formation of São Miguel. Feel the involving
nature mixed with abundant bird sounds.
(We may need to rearrange the time we visit depending
on the clouds coverage

Visit the second-biggest city of São Miguel, Ribeira Grande, the Azorean capital of surf. Check the
emblematic beaches on the north side, a waterfall that drops directly to the ocean and
take a walk around the historical main square and churces, discover why it s named
Ribeira Grande

On our way forward we ll get off the main road to discover some of the
older roads used by our ancestors to travel through the north, where nature has retaken
its space due to minimal human intervention. Admire beautiful landscapes of the northern cliffs, hills
and pastures from privileged viewpoints

Visit a tea factory with a beautfiul garden and a stunning sea view, here we’ll admire the ancient buildings maintained until the modern day while learning a bit more about the types of tea produced here.
Have a tasting of hot or cold tea, organically produced without any aditives.

Learn about the traditional tea cultivation at the Azores, the very few places that completly produce tea in Europe.
Have a tasting of the organic black or green tea, visit the gift shop with diverse options to take back home.
Optional walk to a hidden gem, a waterfall unknown to even some of the locals

Indulge your tasting buds with our regional food, you ll have options of meat, fish and
vegetarian in this buffet of traditionally made local food. (Starter, Main Course, Drink, Dessert and
Coffee included)

Discover some of the picturesque waterfalls at the island where the water never ceases and nature
is lush and full of vibrant colors, the Ribeira dos Caldeirões natural park is one
of the most emblematic places in the northeast side of the island. Walk along different
waterfalls and old water mills, great photo opportunities arise in every corner

Take a short walk near the coastline to observe the marvelous sea view and get a
closer look of the cliffs that arise all along the northern coast at the Miradouro
do Tio Domingos
