Further west on the island of São Miguel, at Miradouro da Ferraria, in addition to seeing the coast and seafront, we can see the Lighthouse and the thermal springs of Ferraria, Ponta da Ferraria and a unique geological formation of its kind, if a volcanic pseudocrater that originated as a result of small explosions of steam, resulting from the contact of hot lava with sea water and the existence of a thermal and natural pools where it is possible to swim in the sea in hot water of volcanic origin, with temperatures which can reach 40 degrees in summer, being a Regional Natural Monument and Protected Landscape.
