This trail starts at Faial da Terra stream, walking on a small road which will take to the stream border, getting in a forest full of Australian Cheesewood. You’ll also discover an old watermill, little fruit trees on both sides of the stream. After a short walk, you’ll reach a bridge that will take you to Salto do Prego waterfall an amazing place for you to relax for a while and appreciate our amazing nature. Finishing the relaxing time you’ll meet an old village called Sanguinho, which is now rebuilt. Here you’ll find typical old constructions and small farm holdings. On the way, you can find some Buckthorn, which is an Azorean endemic plant that gave the name to this village (Sanguinho in Portuguese).
