Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Sintra
Pass By: Sintra, Sintra, Sintra Municipality, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
Arrival in Sintra.
During your free time, explore the historic center of the village of Sintra.

Day 2: Panorama Ride: Sintra / Cascais
Pass By: Sintra, Sintra, Sintra Municipality, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
From Sintra, at an altitude of 200m, we go first to the northern beaches of the Serra de Sintra. This can be through the Sintra-Cascais National Park or through the nearby rural villages.
45km – 800m elevation gain 11km of asphalt, 16km of unpaved roads, 7km cycle path, 5km of hard sand or gravel road, 6km singletrail
Pass By: Colares, Colares, Sintra Municipality, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
After a second breakfast in Colares we arrive at the long beach of Praia Grande. South of Praia Grande the cliffs rise in the Serra de Sintra.
Pass By: Estrada Cabo da Roca, Colares 2705-001 Portugal
After some difficult climbs, we find ourselves on dirt roads going up and down with panoramic views to the most southwestern point of Europe – Cabo da Roca – and the surrounding beaches.
Pass By: Guincho Beach, Parque Natural Sintra-Cascais, Cascais Portugal
Leaving the lighthouse on the cover, we faced one last serious climb. After a last stop in Azoia or one of the nearby panorama bars, the entire climb will be paid for on the long descent to Praia do Guincho, a famous surfers’ beach. Here is where we find a long, flat bike path along the ocean to Cascais.

Our tour ends in the center of Cascais, where we have time for the well-deserved recovery drink! and we will have transport that takes us to our hotel in Sintra

Day 3: Sintra Bike Shuttle
Stop At: Sintra, Sintra, Sintra Municipality, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
Sintra is a true trail paradise. It’s time to discover the great trails between the peaks and the ocean. With a shuttle service, we will tour the 6 best singletrails between Cascais, Cabo da Roca and Colares. A van will pick us up in the ocean and take us back to the peaks. All we need to do is descend 2000m of elevation. 5 hours on the trails are enough for today. We take the bikes back to Sintra, while they can choose to stay on the beaches or return to Sintra with us (5 climbs – loss of elevation of 2100m 4 hours of singletrails).

Day 4: Sintra – Panorama Ride – Ericeira
Pass By: Praia das Macas, Praia das Macas, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
Our start in Sintra allows us to reach the beach during the first hour. Upon our arrival at the beach, the charming coastal villages of Azenhas do Mar and Praia das Macas invite you for a short break, before starting on the coastal trails.
38km – Elevation gain of 700m 11km of asphalt, 16km of sand or gravel road, 11km singletrail.
Pass By: Praia Sao Juliao, Estr. de Sao Juliao 257, Carvoeira, Mafra, Sintra 2655-138 Portugal
Up and down between beaches and cliffs we travel north and accumulate almost 750m of altitude. The wonderful views from the trails on top of the cliffs easily make up for all the efforts. Unbeatable views of the trailsurf flow combined with some technical parts dominate this day along the ocean.
Pass By: Ericeira, Ericeira, Mafra, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
After Praia da Macas, Magoito, Samara and the beautiful São Julhao beach, we arrive in Ericeira in the charming river delta at Foz de Lizando. After a last difficult climb, we reached our destination. Ericeira invites you to stay a few more days, but also, for those who finish their trip here, allows them to be back in Lisbon in less than an hour.
