We pass through the stunning lagoons of the Arrimal, we enter the mountain to discover the “Arco da Memória”, we discover the unique candidate for UNESCO heritage (the dry stone walls). The landscape is marked by abandoned windmills (reminiscent of other times, although not far away). Stops at the Ecopista and in the coal caves, a mandatory visit to the magnificent Fórnea (a unique geological formation, with an impressive view), the “Jurassic Beach” (about 30 km from the current coast line, we discover traces of sea creatures that lived in a distant past). Algares and Lapas, typical geological features of Carso, give us a different view, from the interior of the Earth to the Sky. A trip to Serras de Aire e Candeeiros Nature Park is certainly not complete without visiting the “Dinosaur Footprints”.
