The final destination of this tour will be Castro Laboreiro, a typical inland northern village that practiced transhumance – moving from winter locations to summer locations and vice versa, known for its culture and historical monuments, such as its Roman bridges, the Castle and wonderful waterfalls, the ex-libris of this village is its dog with the same name, an autochthonous breed of dog endemic to Castro Laboreiro – the Castro Laboreiro dog.

Visit to the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Peneda with a stop to buy souvenirs. It is a hidden place of unique beauty and one of the most important and popular sanctuaries in the North of Portugal.

Stop At: Espigueiros de Soajo, Soajo 4970-651 Portugal
The group of Espigueiros de Soajo make up a community threshing floor consisting of 24 granaries, all in stone and based on a granite outcrop. The oldest dates back to 1782. Some of these granaries are still used by the population today.

Next to Lindoso Castle there is a threshing floor made up of 50 granaries from the 17th and 18th centuries, presenting a unique cluster in the country and of rare beauty. Entirely made of stone, each example is supported by several short pillars, set in the rock and topped by millstones or tables.
