Day 1: PORTO (Sunday): Introductory Evening

Stop At: Porto, Porto, Porto District, Northern Portugal
Arrival in Porto international airport, transfer to your hotel. After check-in at your hotel, and resting a little, meet your local guide to enjoy a pleasant walk at night, followed by tasting of Port Wine and a Fado live show, with dinner included. Let yourself be captivated by the music that was recognized as “The Heart of the National Culture”, being therefore chosen Intangible Heritage of UNESCO.

Day 2: PORTO – DOURO RIVER (Monday)

Stop At: Douro River, Porto Portugal
Breakfast.
Today you will discover the gastronomic delights of the North of Portugal: a day to discover the history of the Douro Valley and the Porto wine. Our first stop is in Amarante, to explore unique sites and monuments, such as the Convent and the Church of São Gonçalo, and it´s impressive bridge. The trip continues to Régua, stopping at Mesão Frio to admire the magnificent view over the Douro River. Régua is home to the Casa do Douro, with its beautiful stained glass windows that tell the story of how wine barrels were transported in the traditional “Rabelo” boats by the Duero River. Upon arrival in Pinhão, we will visit the famous train station, built in 1879, and the Duero Museum, where you will learn the history of the Porto wine. Pinhão, with rivers, valleys, vineyards and houses that climb the slopes of its mountains, is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. After enjoying a walk along the river bank and admire the tiles of the train, station we will go to a farm (Quinta de Vino de Oporto ) for a Porto wine tasting, and a traditional lunch.
