Vila Nova de Gaia Trip Overview
The place where people are staying it’s relaxing, close to nature and it’s our garden. It’s a magical place, 15 minutes walk to the beach and so near to Oporto. We are very small and friendly.
While you are staying here we will explain you the most interesting places to visit (Jardim do Morro, Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar, Ponte D. Luís, Teatro S. João, Torre dos Clérigos, Estação de S. Bento, Câmara Municipal do Porto, Livraria Lello, Ribeira do Porto, Caves de Vinho do Porto, etc). Every day we will drive you to a destination, explain where you are and what we suggest you to visit. After that we will pick you up in the evening.
While in the campsite, you will have a welcoming drink and a souvenir to take home.

What to Expect When Visiting Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, Portugal

Itinerary
Day 1: ACCOMODATION: Arrival at the airport: we will pick you up by car
Pass By: Douro River, Porto Portugal
You arrive at the airport and we will pick you p by car.
Then we will drive slowly past the Douro River and you will see the view of both cities: Porto and Gaia.
Stop At: Praia da Madalena, R. do Mar 450, Vila Nova de Gaia 4405-760 Portugal
You can walk from the campsite to the beach – 1,8km or use our bikes.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Capela do Senhor da Pedra, Alameda do Senhor da Pedra, Vila Nova de Gaia 4405-029 Portugal
From the campsite you can take the bike and ride to this wonderful place and watch the sunset, as this small church is directly over the sea, on rocks by the beach in Miramar.
Duration: 45 minutes

Here you will stay for two nights in a caravan with access to the pool
Day 2: Walk and get to know two cities
Stop At: Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar, Largo de Aviz Próximo à Ponte Dom Luís I, Vila Nova de Gaia 4430-329 Portugal
While staying here we will take you by car to Serra do Pilar/ and Jardim do Morro, where you can take breathtaking photos of Porto city, then you will stay there and go to Porto walking. We will suggest you what to see: in the evening we will meet you again by car, to pick you up in Gaia when you come back

Stop At: Ponte de Dom Luis I, Pte. Luiz I, Porto Portugal
You will cross this bridge on foot and then visit Porto with the help of a map we will give you.
Duration: 5 hours
Stop At: Ferreira Cellars, Avenida Ramos Pinto 70, Vila Nova de Gaia 4400-266 Portugal
When you cross the bridge in the lower deck you will be in Vila Nova de Gaia again, and there you will find all the Portwine cellars. To visit one of the Portwine cellars you need to pay extra (between 6€ and 16€). Then you can walk around along the river until the “Caves Ferreira” and we will meet you there to pick you up.

Stop At: Torre dos Clerigos, Rua Sao Filipe Neri, Porto 4050-546 Portugal
While walking in Porto you will see this tower. If you want to climb up the tower it will cost 6€ per person, not included in the price.

Day 3: Back home: driving you back to the airport
Stop At: Ponte da Arrabida, A1 Autoestrada do Norte, Porto 4150 Portugal
We will drive along the beach, until Afurada, a fisherman village. Then we will cross the Arrábida bridge to get to the aiport.
